Your idea could focus on strengthening EA Sweden, contributing to a specific EA cause area, building community resources, or something <em>entirely<\/em> different. The key is that the project is&nbsp;<strong>well-defined, feasible within the summer period (up to 3 months), and aligned with the broad goals of effective altruism.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Crucially, the examples below are&nbsp;<em>just illustrations<\/em>&nbsp;to spark your thinking. We strongly encourage you to propose projects based on your own interests, skills, and ideas about what could be impactful.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Examples of&nbsp;<em>potential<\/em>&nbsp;project types:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Improving EA Sweden Operations:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>CRM Enhancement:<\/strong>&nbsp;Conduct a deep clean-up of our contact management system (e.g., Airtable), identify bottlenecks, and propose\/implement automation for better tracking of members, contacts, and tailored communication (like newsletter segmentation).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Event Operations Toolkit:<\/strong>&nbsp;Develop a comprehensive set of standardised templates, checklists, and best-practice guides for running high-quality EA Sweden events (e.g., retreats, workshops, meetups, career fairs), making them easier to replicate and scale.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Outreach &amp; Content Creation:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>EA Sweden Podcast Miniseries:<\/strong>&nbsp;Conceptualise, plan, record, and edit a short series of podcast episodes interviewing Swedish or international EA-aligned individuals on specific topics, personal journeys, or key EA concepts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Targeted Article Series:<\/strong>&nbsp;Research and write a series of articles on a specific pressing global problem (e.g., AI safety implications for Swedish policy, pandemic preparedness infrastructure in the Nordics), tailored for publication on a specific relevant forum, blog, or media outlet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Community Building &amp; Independent Projects:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pilot EA Introduction Program in a New City:<\/strong>&nbsp;Design and potentially pilot a scalable model for launching and running an EA introductory fellowship or discussion group in a Swedish city currently lacking a significant EA presence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Focused Research Output:<\/strong>&nbsp;Conduct targeted research on an EA-relevant topic and aim to produce a publishable output, such as a blog post series for the EA Forum, a detailed report, or even the groundwork for an academic paper (within the timeframe).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important Project Considerations:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Feasibility:<\/strong>&nbsp;The project scope should realistically be achievable within the summer internship period (max 3 months).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Specificity:<\/strong>&nbsp;Your proposal should clearly outline the goals, activities, timeline, and expected outputs of your project.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Alignment:<\/strong>&nbsp;The project should align with EA principles and be appropriate for a non-partisan, non-profit organisation like EA Sweden. Projects should not engage in restricted political activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What We Offer: Terms and Support<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Duration:<\/strong>&nbsp;Flexible, up to 3 months during the summer (roughly June-August\/September). Start and end dates can be discussed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Format &amp; Pace:<\/strong>&nbsp;We are open to various arrangements! You can work&nbsp;<strong>in-person<\/strong>&nbsp;at our Stockholm office (Sveav\u00e4gen 76),&nbsp;<strong>fully remotely<\/strong>, or&nbsp;<strong>hybrid<\/strong>. The pace can be&nbsp;<strong>full-time or part-time<\/strong>, depending on your availability and the project scope.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reimbursement:<\/strong>&nbsp;Successful applicants will receive a reimbursement equivalent to the Swedish CSN student support level, which is currently&nbsp;<strong>13,500 SEK per month<\/strong>&nbsp;(pre-tax), pro-rata for part-time work.
