We’re excited to announce the fourth edition of the Nordic Group Organiser Retreat, hosted once again in Stockholm by Effective Altruism Sweden. This retreat brings together leaders of national, university, city, and cause-specific EA groups across the Nordic and Baltic regions for a weekend of strategy, connection, and collaboration.

🎯 Who it’s for: Active community organisers of EA or cause-area specific groups from Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Latvia, and Iceland
Why apply?
Following a highly-rated 2024 retreat (average 8.9/10 LTR), which helped spark multiple group collaborations, strategic overhauls, and 7+ successful funding applications, this year’s retreat will build on that momentum with an even stronger focus on impact and group continuity.
- Support your group’s next phase. Whether you’re scaling, stabilising, or navigating a leadership transition, the retreat will offer hands-on support in drafting Theory of Change, setting goals, and sharing roadmaps.
- Strengthen the regional network. Meet and collaborate with organisers across the Nordics and Baltics. Previous attendees made an average of 7.6 new impactful connections.
- Shape the future of EA in the region. The retreat also plays a role in aligning efforts across national groups — including planning for EAGxNordics 2026.

- Workshops & Sessions: Ranging from fundraising and operations to peer strategy reviews and scaling what works.
- Customised Content: We’ll shape the agenda based on your goals and needs—shared through the application.
- Peer Support: Engage in facilitated conversations with organisers who’ve launched successful crash courses, fellowships, and collaborative events.
Last Year
The most recent edition of the Nordic Group Organiser Retreat marked a significant scale-up. From August 2–4, 2024, EA Sweden hosted the third edition in Stockholm, convening 37 participants from 23 national, city, university, and field-building groups across 6 countries.

- Cost: Free to attend. Food and snacks provided.
- Travel & Accommodation: Limited support available for those who wouldn’t otherwise be able to join.

- We’ll review applications continuously and let you know once you’re accepted.

- If requested, you’ll receive a separate update about travel support by this date at the latest.
- Confirm your spot by July 15
- Secure your place by responding to the confirmation email.
